Na de nieuwe 1 Serie kon de nieuwe 2 Serie Gran Coupé niet lang uitblijven. Wouter kon deze auto recent al aan jullie voorstellen. Inmiddels is de auto ook voor het eerst tentoongesteld voor het grote publiek, maar dat doet BMW wel op een bijzondere manier.
BMW stelde namelijk een 2 Serie Gran Coupé met een hele aparte look tentoon. De auto is voorzien van een heel druk mozaïekpatroon, goudkleurige accenten en M Performance Parts. We vonden de 2 Serie Gran Coupé niet eens zo lelijk, maar op deze manier wordt het een afzichtelijk hok.
Je vraagt je misschien ook af waarom er ‘ApeCar’ op het kenteken staat. Nou, de vormen die je op de auto ziet moeten aapjes voorstellen. En niet zomaar aapjes, dit zijn Bored Apes. Je weet wel, van die verdraaide NFT’s.
NFT’s zijn blijkbaar nog steeds een ding, want de 2 Serie Gran Coupé beleefde zijn werelddebuut op een NFT-feestje genaamd ApeFest. En dat is dus de reden dat deze 2 Serie Coupé zo raar is uitgedost.
De verschrikkelijke ApeCar is nog te koop ook, maar gelukkig blijft het bij één exemplaar. Geïnteresseerden konden zich op ApeFest inschrijven voor deze auto. Voorwaarde was wel dat je bezitter was van een Bored Ape of Mutant Ape NFT. Uit de aanmeldingen kiest BMW vervolgens een ‘gelukkige’ die de auto mag kopen.

LOL, heb je net een beetje geld verdiend met je NFT’s (eindelijk!), en dan denkt BMW dat je die zuurverdiende Euro’s wel wil inruilen voor een auto die in een mislukte behangetje is gewrapt?

NFT’s zijn de tulpenmanie van de 21ste eeuw gebleken. Onbegrijpelijk dat een merk als BMW zich daarmee presenteert.
