Hybrides zijn het slechtste van twee werelden, aldus de Vereniging voor Elektrische Rijders.
De discussie is al zo oud als de hybride zelf: is het nu het beste van twee werelden of het slechtste van twee werelden? De Vereniging Elektrische Rijders heeft hier een duidelijke mening over, zo blijkt uit een artikel van de NOS.
Aanleiding is het stijgende marktaandeel van hybrides, waar de groei van EV’s een beetje stagneert. De onheilsberichten over EV’s gaan overigens vooral over Europa in zijn geheel, in Nederland stijgt het aandeel van EV’s nog steeds. Alleen niet zo hard als dat van hybrides.
Daar is de Verening van Elektrische Rijders helemáál niet blij mee. Woordvoerder Leonie van Beuken noemt hybrides “the worst of both worlds”, in goed Nederlands. “Uit alle testen blijkt dat ze in de praktijk namelijk vaker méér uitstoten dan reguliere brandstofauto’s. Wie de accu niet oplaadt, gebruikt alleen de brandstofmotor die vaak erg onzuinig is. En ze zijn afhankelijk van fossiele brandstoffen.”
Dit zijn wel boude claims. Dat de fabrieksopgave van PHEV’s ver van de realiteit staat is nogal wiedes en ook herhaaldelijk met onderzoek bevestigd. Daarbij wordt vaak echter geen directe vergelijking gemaakt met reguliere benzineauto’s, dus om te zeggen dat hybrides vaak méér uitstoten gaat nogal ver. Daarbij lopen onderzoeken al snel achter de feiten aan, want een moderne PHEV met 100 km elektrische range is al heel wat anders dan een Outlander PHEV van 10 jaar geleden.
Daar komt bij: de BOVAG-cijfers die de NOS heeft geraadpleegd gaan niet alleen over plug-in hybrides, maar over alle hybrides. Dus ook hybrides die je helemaal niet hoeft op te laden en gegarandeerd zuiniger zijn.

Fact checking? Als trump of wilders iets roept rollen ‘journalisten’ over elkaar heen om te roepen dat het allemaal niet klopt of niet helemaal klopt of dat er geen bewijs is. Waar zijn de facts nu?
Bovendien ‘opladen’ ? Dat geldt alleen voor PEHV. Maar de meeste hybrids zijn mild of fulltime hybrid, de pehv zijn bijna allemaal geexporteert naar landen waar de voordelen niet verdwijnen na 3 tot 5 jaar.

Euh, nee? Toyota/Lexus verkoopt de nodige full hybrids. Kia en Hyundai heeft ook keuze volgens mij. En ik dacht dat Renault/Nissan/Mitsubishi ook een (complexe) full hybrid aandrijflijn hebben. Honda volgens mij ook nog.

@schuimbekje3 er zijn zat onderzoeken die aantonen dat PHEV verbruik veel hoger is dan de WLTP, zowel uit Duitsland als Nederland (bijvoorbeeld lease maatschappijen).
En een normale hybride gaat het hier niet over.

Ik hoorde het interview met de (nogal zelfingenomen) dame die namens de VER vanochtend haar zegje mocht doen op het Radio 1 Journaal. Overigens kon dit programma ook worden verweten niet echt de juiste vragen te stellen; had de redactie zich fatsoenlijk ingelezen over deze materie (bijvoorbeeld via dit altijd onderhoudende en even genuanceerde Autoblog), dan hadden ze deze lariekoek compleet uit de ether kunnen blazen.

En dat leaserijders met de Foutlander PHEV niet geladen hebben weten we inmiddels wel, maar ik geloof er geen snars van dat particuliere eigenaren hun PHEV ook niet laden. Dus niet alleen de sport zelf vind er wat van, de spelers bij elke sport tonen ook ander gedrag.

Ja, dan kun je ook zeggen “wie zijn elektrische auto oplaadt met elektriciteit uit kolen is ook slecht voor het milieu”. Mensen die een PHEV hebben, hebben die vaak om kleine stukken elektrisch te rijden. Je hebt namelijk meer onderhoud en de MRB is niet echt lager, dus je voordeel moet ergens uit komen. Ik vind dit echt een domme uitspraak tbh.

dan hebben pehv alleen het onderhoud van de benzine omgeving, maar dat is dus hetzelfde als een benzine auto. kan nooit meer zijn. maar ik heb nognooit onderhoud gefactureerd gekregen aan mijn prius, rav4, forester, civic, ampera of p300..

@Joris24 een BEV is zelfs als hij op 100% stroom uit een gascentrale rijdt vele malen efficiënter dan een ICE. Gascentrales zijn ongeveer 90% efficiënt, en een EV ook, dus ongeveer 80% van de energie uit het gas wordt omgezet ik beweging.
Bij een ICE moet je eerst nog de ruwe olie naar de raffinaderij sturen, en een verbrandingsmotor heeft ook een efficiëntie van maximaal 30%. Je ziet dus al, dat is mega inefficiënt.
Overigens is op dit moment meer dan 50% van onze elektriciteit hernieuwbaar.

Volgens mij is het doel van die club om de belangen van bezitters van EV’ s te behartigen (lees: lobby-en voor zoveel mogelijk subsidies). Dat er mensen andere keuzes maken, gaat hun helemaal niks aan.

@roadster wat een onzin. Ten eerste gebeurt dat toch zo vaak, dat een belangenclub botst met een andere groep die er geen belang bij heeft (zie alle milieu clubjes). Daarnaast staan die PHEV’s ook elke avond aan de laadpaal te kleven, veel irritanter dan een BEV die dat misschien 1x per week doet. Dus we hebben door de PHEV veel meer laadpalen nodig.

Met mijn mild-hybride diesel van 340 pk heb ik gisteren een ritje gemaakt van 150 kilometer en een verbruik van 1:25,6 gerealiseerd. En ik heb niet eens echt mijn best gedaan om zuinig te rijden, dus niet in de Eco Pro stand. Ze moeten eens stoppen om alle hybride auto’s over een kant te scheren. Ik zag gisteren ergens in een nieuwsbericht een grafiek waarbij hybride zogenaamd een enorme opmars maakt en diesel bijna is verdwenen. Mijn auto heeft een elektromotor van 11 pk en een 340 pk dieselmotor, toch telt deze niet mee als een dieselauto. Ja logisch dat hybride zo populair is, elke brandstofauto heeft een mild-hybride of plugin hybride systeem tegenwoordig. Dat wil niet zeggen dat benzine of diesel is verdwenen.
Bestaat er misschien ook zo iets als de Vereniging van Diesel Rijders? Of kan ik mij aansluiten bij de Vereniging van Elektrische Rijders omdat mijn diesel een elektrische diesel is?

Ze moeten hun 405.000 euro aan subsidies natuurlijk wel kunnen verantwoorden. Dan is een stukje uitsturen wel het minste wat je moet doen.

Ik ben het helemaal eens met de VER. Alle onderzoeken die er zijn gedaan naar PHEV rijders (veelal door lease maatschappijen) laten zien dat ze inderdaad nauwelijks minder brandstof verbruiken dan conventionele benzine auto’s. Niet voor niks dat de komende jaren de WLTP wordt aangescherpt voor dit soort benzineslurpers.
Ik ben overigens wel een voorstander van de EREV, dan heb je wel altijd het volle vermogen tot je beschikking in de EV modus, geen onnodig zware hardware als een versnellingsbak, en zuinig want de ICE draait altijd op het optimale toerental.
Want dat is bijvoorbeeld het probleem van een auto als de nieuwe M5, leuk die 727pk, maar als je in pure EV modus wilt rijden heb je maar 197pk tot je beschikking, in een auto van 2,5 ton. Dus in de praktijk zal je heel vaak aanspraak gaan maken op de verbrandingsmotor als je een beetje vlot weg wil komen.

Het feit dat het onderzoek is gedaan door leasemaatschappijen geeft direct aan waar het mis gaat. Natuurlijk is en PHEV die wordt gereden door iemand met een tankpas van de baas een stuk minder zuinig want daar is geen enkle incentive om te laden. Zo zal een EV met een laadpas van de baas ook veel duurder rijden dan een EV van een particulier, want het boeit de leaserijder niet wat het ladenkost, dus die kiest het liefste snelladers.
Ik ben er van overtuigd dat PHEV’s gereden door particuliere die thuis kunnen laden, aanzienlijk minder vebruiken dan gelijkwaardige volledige brandstof auto’s. Daarom denk ik ook dat Hybride de ideale oplossing is voor patriculiere gebruikers momenteel. Merendeel van de ritten naar werk en rond om huis gaan elektrische en geen laadstress op lange ritten (waarop je mogelijk iets meer zal verbruiken)

Als je de PHEV netjes oplaadt is het gewoon het beste van 2 werelden, echt zuinig maar ook praktischer dan een BEV. Geen laadstress, lange rijkweidte als het noodzakelijk is en in de mix echt heel zuinig. Als we eerlijk zijn is het de oplossing voor nu, ook omdat het elektriciteitsnetwerk een 100% overstap op BEV’s niet aankan.

Stekker hybrides en muesli diesels hadden nooit fiscale voordelen moeten krijgen.
Die zijn/waren alleen theoretisch goed voor het milieu.
Rijbereik elektrisch is tegenwoordig een stuk meer dan in de begintijd, maar mensen zonder laadpaal thuis of voor de deur zullen nog steeds grotendeels op benzine rijden.

Oké – dus je doet een paar aannames en op basis daarvan ga je bepalen dat die subsidies alleen theoretisch nut hadden? Dat is dus een conclusie die alleen theoretisch (volgens jóuw theorie!) klopt.

De nieuwste generatie PHEV’s rijden 80-100 km elektrisch effectief; ik zou ervoor tekenen, want dan kan ik het woon-werkverkeer elektrisch afleggen (en opladen bij de werkgever), en de lange privéritten op benzine rijden. Helaas kan ik in mijn functie geen aanspraak maken op een lease-auto en heb ik privé geen 45 mille o.i.d.
voor overliggen om zo’n auto naar wens aan te schaffen.
