De Europese auto-industrie roept op tot actie na tegenvallen elektrische autoverkopen.
Het gaat alles behalve lekker met de autoverkopen van elektrische voertuigen in Europa. Dat heb je vanmorgen aan de hand van de cijfers kunnen lezen. Reden voor de European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) om aan de bel te trekken namens de industrie. Ze roepen op tot actie vanuit de EU.
ACEA op de bres voor de auto-industrie
Wat de ACEA betreft moet Brussel in actie komen met noodmaatregelen voordat de strenge doelstellingen voor auto’s en bestelwagens in 2025 van kracht worden. De organisatie vraagt de EU om nog eens goed te kijken naar de geplande CO2-maatregelen en deze waar nodig aan te passen. Mocht alles blijven zoals het nu gaat kan dit stevige gevolgen hebben voor de auto-industrie. De EU kan wel willen dat alles naar 0 gram CO2 gaat, maar als niemand de duurzame auto’s afneemt draaien autofabrikanten geen omzet.
Europese autofabrikanten, verenigd in de ACEA, roepen de EU-instellingen op om met dringende noodmaatregelen te komen voordat de nieuwe CO2-doelstellingen voor auto’s en bestelwagens in 2025 van kracht worden.
De ACEA benadrukt dat ze het klimaatakkoord van Parijs ondersteunen en de plannen van de EU om de transportsector in 2050 stevig te verduurzamen. Toch zijn er aanvullende elementen nodig omdat de overgang naar vergroening niet zo vanzelfsprekend gaat als de theorie schetst.
Aan Brussel de complexe taak hier handen en voeten aan te geven. De situatie binnen de auto-industrie kan niet genegeerd worden. Een dip in verkopen hoeft niet het einde van de wereld te betekenen. Als dit zo doorgaat op de lange termijn heeft dat natuurlijk wel zware gevolgen. De vraag is of de europarlementariërs de kop in het zand steken als in “Dat loopt wel los”, of dat ze serieus in actie gaan komen. Wat dat betreft spannende tijden voor industrie. En niet op een goede manier.

De ommezwaai van 100 jaar innoveren van verbrandingsmotoren naar volledig elektrische auto’s kost simpelweg geld en tijd. De consument kijkt uiteindelijk naar de prijs en als die niet flink overtuigend is, worden er gewoon benzine-auto’s besteld. Toyota lijkt het vooralsnog aan het rechte eind te hebben met enkel Hybride-techniek en mogelijk later waterstof

Tja, fiscaal voordeel weg = vraag weg. Vooral in segmenten waar de grote volume wordt gedraaid zie je dit terug. Elektrisch is nog steeds te duur in de Golf en Polo klasse. Echter bij het hoger segment waar prijsverschil klein is, blijft de vraag wel overeind. Goed voorbeeld is de i5 vs 5 serie. Dezelfde auto met een verschillende aandrijflijn en verwaarloosbaar prijsverschil. Volgens de RDW zijn er dit jaar 982 ICE versies verkocht tegenover 930 BEV’s. Grofweg 50-50, op zich prima verhouding.
Dus of fabrikanten moeten met scherper aanbod komen of overheid moet kleiner/goedkoper segment stimuleren qua vraag…

De oplossing is vrij simpel. Verplicht de industrie om auto’s van 15000 tot 25000 te produceren die 600 km kunnen rijden en je in 3 minuten bij elk tankstation kunt bijvullen. O wacht, die bestaan al, maar dat zijn geen EV’s. Jammer dan.

Probleem is zo opgelost… stop met die EV waanzin en ga terug naar hoe het was. Begin eerst dingen aan te pakken zoals cruiseschepen, fabrieken en vooral de landen buiten de EU zoals India.

Transport is verantwoordelijk voor een kwart van de CO2 uitstoot. Als je een dergelijk groot segment links laat liggen zeg je eigenlijk gewoon foert tegen het klimaatbeleid en de gemaakte afspraken in o.a. Parijs.

71% van CO2 uitstoot transport betreft wegverkeer. Er zijn gewoon in aantal extreeeeeeem veel wagens die rondrijden in vergelijking met de vliegtuigen en boten die rondvaren.

Hiernaast worden de andere sectoren ook aangepakt, het is geen OF OF verhaal.
Met ikke niet, pak de anders segmenten maar aan krijg je gewoon impasse en verandert niks.

In de scheepvaart wordt ook een hoop gedaan om de uitstoot te beperken. Er zijn uitstootlimieten in steeds meer regio’s waardoor cruiseschepen, tankers en transportschepen worden uitgerust met uitlaatscrubbers of op LNG varen. De tijd dat alle dikke stookolie vrolijk de lucht in werdt geslingerd ligt al een tijdje achter ons. Het aloude “laat ze eerst maar wat aan de scheepvaart, luchtvaart doen” gaat niet op. In alle sectoren is dit actueel en zijn er ontwikkelingen.

Ook dit kabinet blijkt niet te snappen hoe het werkt.

De EU wordt wel goed in de vernieling geholpen door totale faalhazen als Von der Leyen en tot recent onze eigen linkse broeders Timmermans / Samson. Maar goed dat krijg je als je (voormalig) activisten aan de knoppen laat draaien.

Heb ik al enkele malen aangegeven hier op AB. Honderdduizenden arbeidsplaatsen weg in Europa en geen enkele politieker doet iets. ICE moet blijven en daarmee uit. Zolang China en India samen meer dan 60% van de CO2 uitstoot veroorzaakt en niets doet, begrijp ik niet waarom Europa de heilige wil uithangen.

De EU moet niet luisteren naar deze lobby club en gewoon hun plannen voortzetten. Grote bedrijven zullen altijd mopperen, net als Apple die over moest van Lightning naar USB-C. Maar uiteindelijk ben ik wel blij dat ik nu nog maar 1 kabeltje nodig heb voor al mijn apparaten.

Het probleem zit bij de Europese auto fabrikanten en niet bij de Europese wetgeving.
Zolang Europese auto fabrikanten niet willen veranderen, moeten ze maar lekker op de blaren gaan zitten.
Ze willen bakken met geld verdienen over de ruggen van de meeste mensen die een gemiddelde auto niet kunnen betalen.
Laat de Europese auto industrie maar op hun plaat gaan, moet je zien hoe snel ze kunnen veranderen om betaalbare EV te gaan bouwen voor de gewone man.
Er zijn veel te veel Europese auto fabrikanten, een mega uitdunning in de Europese auto industrie kan geen kwaad.
Als de Europese politiek gaat toegeven aan het ingezette belijd rijden we over 10-20 jaar nog steeds met CO2 uitstotende auto’s
Reken maar dat de Europese auto fabrikanten wel degelijk heel snel kunnen veranderen, als het hun ondergang gaat worden omdat ze niet willen veranderen.
De Europese auto industrie heeft een mega reboot nodig, hoe eerder hoe sneller, ICE zo snel mogelijk verbieden, en de EV niet stimuleren, door subsidies, en de Europese Auto industrie weet dan wel heel snel de verwachte auto’s te kunnen bouwen, zodat de gewonen man/vroew weer een fatsoenlijke betaalbare auto kan betalen.
